I discovered hiking as a great antidote to the noise and chaos of the hospital (I’m a resident doctor in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics), and am now hooked on the White Mountains. My partner will tell you that I have a problem (so what if I have the White Mountains guidebook commited to memory?).  I like to go hiking, think about going hiking, plan hikes…I also like to run, bike, swim, drink a lot of coffee, eat vegetables, read books (especially trashy sci-fi), argue about things, and almost certainly some other stuff that I can’t think of right now. This blog exists so that I can set and keep track of goals for myself (some hiking, some not) so that I can do more in the next year and a half than just survive residency.
